Noel Yousie
In 1999, upon the referral of a family friend, Noel Yousie took a summer job in construction before heading off to University. Little did he know that this chance opportunity would change the course of his life forever. Noel returned to this summer job throughout the course of his university career. Upon graduating with a BA from the university of Western Ontario, he decided to follow his passion for carpentry and began working full time as an apprentice for Schroeder Construction out of Oakville Ontario.
In 2005 Noel began his own business Norah Construction that focused on small renovations and carpentry work. After ten years of success, based solely on positive referrals and word of mouth, he decided that it was time for a change. Created in the winter of 2015, Olive and Oak Fine and Custom Carpentry, was created to move away from the contracting and renovating side of construction. It focuses on Noel's passion for the art and skill of carpentry, centring on fine finishing, millwork, and furniture design and manufacturing.
Noel Yousie resides in Hamilton Ontario with his wife Sarah, daughter Layla, and dog Olive. When not working or enjoying time with his family, Noel can often be found in local Hamilton establishment playing with his band The Weight.
